Fresh 2.3L, repainted, interior curently being restored

Is this the car built by VWT for a giveaway in the middle 80's? That front end, paint scheme, and deep centerlines sure look familiar!!

I'd have to agree with that, I had that issue. It looks like it survived remarkably well, must have stayed garaged it's whole life. You also might get a few more responses to the history of the car on cal-look.com

Re-read your post, I think I might have read it wrong, sounds like you already know the history, oops. Still, very cool, I wonder whatever happened to some of the other cars they gave away or built that seem to have disappeared.
