Wheel adapters, or drill
I cant find any wheel adapters yet to fit my wheels. I have 4 lug VW and need to go to Ford 5 on 5.25" truck wheel pattern. These are western turbine wheels. They are build like a tank, in the center 1" thick, weigh 20 lbs each. Would I be better off to redrill them to 4 lug VW? Thats the big question.. I want the era look on the buggy. They were made in 68, stamped. I am a newbe rebuilding an old El Lobo. So,,, HELP please.[/b]

Personaly I wouldn't use adaptors, or try to drill a new pattern in your wheels.
If anything you could take your old drums to a machine shop and have them drill the drums to the pattern you want. Any compitent machine shop should be able to do it, but get a quote first. If they can't do it because the 4-lug pattern and the new pattern don't fit together. You can buy new blank drums and have them drilled to the pattern you want. And yet another option, you might be able to find new drums already drilled to the pattern you want.
Just my 2 cents.
