its a 2007cc gene berg engine running on 48's. its putting out around 131bhp at 115mph and yes it is JUST street legal.
i used to drive it to races but since putting in the new engine i tow it.circuit racing is alot longer than hill climbing and im trying to make the engine last.
as for the race (first one with new engine) i had troubles in practice,1 stuck open carb, and only did 4 laps. in the race i had the mini but spun 2nd to last lap, the ricer blew up.
Where's the next batch of racing pictures? I would really like to see some more. Can you set up an in car camera? It would be great to see and hear some video of the actual race, especially when you are passing some Hondas or other ricers
Just wanted to bring up this thread again. I was at the video store last evening and picked up (bought) the movie "Grand Prix" starring James Garner. It is the two disc special edition and has many great pictures and actually a drive around special feature about Brands Hatch.
I forgot just how great this movie was and am really glad I found a copy and got it for my collection...Just the special features are worth the price($15). The sights and sounds and interviews, the real GP drivers that are not with us anymore; I believe everyone here should make this a must purchase video!!!
BTW, how is the racing going? After listening to the man discribe BH race course, that really sounds like a lot of fun and a tremendous challenge. Sir Jack Brabham even says it is his favorite race track. It is a drivers track.
Amazon has it for $9.95, sorry.
I bought the "Herbie" library from them (Yes, I'm a kid. Bald, grey & fat. I don't have a problem with it) & now they e-mail me race vid specials every blue moon or coon's age, whichever comes last.
