Shift gear problem

Hi,

While I shift 1st gear to second gear alway went into reverse gear? How to fix this problem?

Sounds like a couple things need looking at. Check teh shifter couplings near the transmission first. Then check to make sure all of the engine and transmission hanger bushings are in good shape and that the whole drivetrain is properly aligned. Then take the shifter off...two bolts...and make sure nothing is bent on the shifter guide plate. Grease it well then do the shifter adjustment in the haynes manual. Get back to us. Ray
