Helping out Kubelmann

Post by Bob Ingman »

Health issues have kept me away and inactive for awhile now but new medicine is helping. I want to be here to help out Kubelmann for a few days while hes in the deep South. Good to be back for now. Bob

Hope your feeling better. Never knew you were "out of it" so to speak.

Welcome back.

Wow... wondered what happened to you.

Do you still need the rewiring stuff... sent some notes etc, thought you'd dropped the aircooled cult.

Thanks Bucko.
Tim I just put a 2056 and six rib into the thing. All came out well. Still have a pile of 914 instruments to install but have been able to postpone that til now. Have to construct an aluminum dash panel first then cut it to accept my collection. Good to be back. Bob

I fly out early Saturday morning. I will return in early July.

I am very pleased to have such a great VW resource as Bob back online. He is a great storehouse of VW knowledge, experience and humor.

Anybody got a six rib starter? Bob needs one.. K-mann

Historical Bump/ I did this so some folks who have not had the pleasure of Bob's knowledge, wisdom and humor will understand that I have been only babysitting here until he reemerged. Welcome back Chub Stubs. I kinna miss Tim Dodge but I still wil not straighten bumpers with rope and a oak tree.

Welcome back Bob,

I wish you all the best with your health issues.

Rgds,
Jim

PS are you using the 10 degree kit or a solid/strap mounted to mount the six rib ? Supplier info ?

Jim I just used a basic strap kit when I installed the 5-rib into my Thing. There was so much other stuff going on at the same time it really didn`t matter. There was a lot of suspension modifications plus body lift and the T-4 pancake all being done together. Later I swapped the 5-rib for an 091 with no other changes required. Bob
