I took my frame apart and very gently straightened all the members. Then I put on the Killer connectors. I put it on the body and it is awesome. Then I took the frame back apart and have it at the blaster to have it stripped adn then will get it powder coated and then put the soft top on. I am fabricating my own tension straps from high grade 1 1/2" nylon strapping and 1 1/2" trigrides. I want to make it easily adjustable adn removeable. If this does not work I will revert to sewing velcro on the straps like the Thing shop tension straps. I already have plenty of sew on velcro. I bought enough strap and triglides to do both my Things and will have enough left over to make fastening straps and still have enough left over to make straps for other in need. I have enough OD green stapping to do a complete soft top. I was going with OD green and then went back to black. I will be getting more of the fastening kits because one of the great parts is that it allows you to discectthe frame, straighten all parts, refinish, and end up with a wonderfully restored soft top for the cost of a hardware kit asn a bit of labor.
