My 76 has a strange insulation in the roof of the engine compartment.
It is like pressboard or masonite.
Full of holes...
THere are these horse-hair bags above it for insulation.
Plus, there's the fiberglass mat held in place with a wire under the trap door..
All fo this stuff was falling apart and into my compartment.
Anybody have any ideas for a slick way to replace it with something better?
Was thinking about 1/2" thick foil-backed house insulation,
Or making something from plexiglass.
It would be sweet to just leave it out.
Anybody ever try this?
Did it make the bus noticibly louder inside?
Any wisdom is appreciated...
