How is the 209P distributor adjusted for optimum 1.7L D-Jet perf?

There are a handful of other things that help also. Like...taking slack out of the shaft down near the drive dog. It typiclaly has about 4 times too much slack. Also, polishing the glide ring between the two breaker plates and tightenung the ball and spring and crimping the steel "finger" opposite the ball and spring so it has no more than .005" between it and the breaker plate will make advance more accurate and smoother.
