Well, with out even trying (uh....yeah, right), mine and Chris' cars are in the Current VW Trends....at least the back end....the important parts!

Congrats on the article Kathy, but where are the tag lines about these cars being prepared by the Engineering Division of The Central Alabama Aircooled Drinking Society(CAADS)? Kudos all around.

BTW, I'll be having a magazine signing, next show I get to....perhaps Pensacola.

John, Those were good pics, just like the one of another forum member, Steve Glavas (AKA Poor realist) his is the largest pic on the first page of the article, sitting proudly on the test fixture..Of course there is the plague, over on the adjoining page, displaying 2,6 liters of street power..

Thanks for letting us get the pics of the Sharpebuilt shrouds, it helped out alot with the articles..

Jake,

Kathy took the pics....so credit goes to her for the quality, she took those at Sevierville, after the 10 hour burn we made from Alabama...(hey, we took the scenic route, ok?)...Did the type IVs get hot on the mountains whilst we stormed up one side and down the other.....not a bit!

Thanks John!
We weren't for sure what all was going to be used. I never know what they do out there in CA!
Glad you like it! I couldn't have done it without Jake, Joe, Oliver, Sharpbuilt & Next Generation.
There are plenty more to come!
Glad the pictures turned out as well as they did. Had to use a few digitals for some of them.

Kool, I should be getting my VWT this week. Looking forward to seeing other's conversions. There is a chance that HVWs will run a pix of my T4 powered Notch in the show coverage for the Great Canadian Show last Aug. up in Vancouver, BC. Deano took a couple of pix and some notes about it. We'll see.......

What's this? I'm famous and published? Which magazine is this? Don't mind me, I've just been really, really busy lately... Let me know what mag it is so I can get a copy!

So I guess it'll be a pic of my baby. I'm such a proud father! If only I could get the mother to be more interested in our child. Image She seems to only like the human ones....

You think I should get it framed? Image

Hell yeah!

You may have been joking about getting it framed, but I'm completely serious! I have one or two friends who have done some serious custom stuff (for one of them, think Olds Toronado V8 drivetrain in a Type III!!) who have framed magazine covers and/or articles about their cars. It looks very cool--especially if it's in your "sanctum", be that den or library or workshop or whatever.

I'd think about getting an extra copy of the mag just to cut up and frame.
