74 Thing ignition help needed.

I've got a bad ignition switch in my 74 Thing, but I can't figure out how if I need to take out the entire ignition lock assembly or not to replace it.
Does anyone know?
Is there a retainer spring or pin? Where?
If anyone has access to a detailed illustration, that would be helpful.
Or can the old switch be pulled out from the back and then new one inserted?
