Auto trans brace image

Post by 66 deluxe »

Just wanting to find a picture of the brace that holds the auto trans to a type 4 vehicle, not the rear bar on engine . I have almost finshed building a 1911 type 4 for my notchback which is an auto and i want to make a brace that holds the auto trans to the body, i have already made the rear bar for the engine. I am thinking of using the original type 3 rear bar to make the brace. Any help would be great.

Thanks, Damo.

you could get a swingaxle sub frame. weld in the brackets for the irs. then you'd have frame horns and rear engine hanger. then build the bracket that goes under the trans, hooks to the top of the shock towers.
