thanks ,,tuna,,for that,,the ,,st-christof,, was geeve for the car luck,, vw,,for the religious people,, st-christof ,,was the saint patron for the car driver,,for the first picture ,,europe course, we can do a compétition car with this small modifications,,albert

You can see a larger version of the VW 411 'Grand Prix' article on Jens Vagelpohl's website, it's worth reading! http://www.type4.org/pictures/1971/za_g ... large.html
It seems the South African Factory developed a competition engine for the 411 based on their own works rally car. This engine apparently produces 104.5kW/142hp at 7000rpm!!! That is what I read, can it really be true??
Contrast that with the German factory rally car that developed 66kW at 6500rpm...
Would be great to see some more pictures of these South African 411GPs.

hy,,412x2 i have 2 more rally report for the 411 in europe,, one i reemember was a very bad rallie ,,in the ruff way ,84 hrs non stop in the ,stone,,snow,,cold temp,,wather ,,and the 411 was arrive 15-6 on 64 compétitor,, jag,fiat,,porsche,and many more différent ( 2 --411 in the same compétition ) he arrive just afther one porsche 911,, hey that is not bad ,, albert

yes ,,doc,,me too i like this model too , she is not my ,,medal,, she was for the europe .. i have one but more cheep ,, my medal is with a clip pin for to put on the sun gard ,, the vw garage geeve me that wend i have buy my 412 in 74,,i d,t know if that was the mode in your contry ,, albert
