I have a 74 super and the passenger side lock mechanism is starting to stick real bad. It is to the point where the only way to unlock the door is from the inside. So I pulled the door panel off thinking this might be an easy thing to fix. That is one COMPLICATED looking mechanism! So I am curious should I...
A) hose it down with WD40 or similar.
B) Take it out clean it up and lubricate it with grease.
C) Replace it.
D) Put the door panell back on and tell passengers that the car is the "General Lee's" little brother.
Thanks for the help!

I went with option "D" above, but I got sick of passengers asking how to open/ close the door. Luckily today I had daylight and no rain, so I decided to spray the locking mechanism down with "PB Blaster". I would say that the locking mecanism is now working 90% better. Still a little sticky, but functions well overall.
