Well, it's been six months since the show, and I finally decided to put a short video together from the car show. It mainly focuses on Josh Hanssens' car, as it was the class-winner.....and well-deserved. I also got some footage of Bill K.'s car....at least, what I could safely take video of while Bill's daughter was having a melt-down on her little brother (ha ha); didn't want to get too close to that.....yeesh.

Anyway.....

Well I'll try again this coming summer - can you make it down to Seattle for our show in July?

Too early for me to say for sure. My wife and I recently made some major changes in our lives; she and her sister have bought a business in their hometown (which is about 150 miles closer to you now), so we are moving soon. I closed down my upholstery business at the end of December in preparation for the move, and am working temporarily for a former employer until our house sells, and I am able to find work in the new city. If the economy doesn't pick up, I may not be doing much with the VW hobby this year.

It would be great to get together with you though, even if it's not specifically for a VW show! We'll have to wait and see what the future holds for my wife and I.

Travis,

It's nice to see the cars together at the show again. Josh sure does have a beauty. It is amazing how fresh the car is after so many years. Thanks for NOT sharing the audio of my kids

Also, best wishes in your move and new start. I hope to see you again this summer.

It's either the first or second Saturday of July, at a community college in North Seattle. Shorline CC, I think. I've been to it twice, the only Type 4, and they lump me in with the Type 3s. Kinda depressing - but if all of us could make it we could have our own category after all.
