1972 VW 411, 2 door, 4 speed

Two questions: 1. Anyone had experience with the EPC Type 4 dual port carb kit? It appears low enough so the firewall does not have to be cut to clear the driver's side air cleaner. 2. Looking for inner apron, forward of the shock tower both sides, do salvage yards have this sort of thing?
