You need an engine seal! The car is in beautiful shape, though. I assume something has been done to lift the car a bit for rough roads?

Hello,

The car looks nice! congratulations!

One question: where is the chrome (bling bling) on the side of the car and above the wheels? Also: white lights on the side of the car? Italian version? I'm not sure if that's original... :?

white lights

Post by dangouyes »

Hi there, i think the lights must be the originals one. Because here u can´t find this kind of light (in dee, the originals one either), but here u can find people who built all what u want (only joking but true)...I have a question about yours...where are yours from?

Mine is German (DUH), allthought I know that there were also built in South-Africa. Of course all our cars are build in German of South-Africa, but there were some details different for some countries, that's why I mentioned the lights it.
Also nog lights for sale her either. You could order some type3 lights, there are only a little smaller, but do fit. The only problem is that they aren't water proof any more fore, but leave the rubber out and the water drys easily.

My car was originally bought and imported in Holland. The license plate is also from that time period. The owner couldn't wait to get it (I guess) because it was registrered in the beginning of december. He (or she) couldn't wait to register it in 1970, wat most people would do.

It looks high in the back to me? Anyway, the engine seal is a long piece of square grey colored foam with slits cut in it to fit around the engine tin and surrounding metal. What exact type of foam? I'm not sure...
