Re: 1303 tube frame in the works
Took delivery of my new engine yesterday and have been busy.
I had actually ordered a twin turbo motor but this one showed up.
I`m going to stay with the single turbo motor as it is soooooooooo much simpler than the tt motor. Test fit
Now I need to source a radiator, fuel cell, and ecu.
These 4 cam motor are wide!! There is going to need to be some trimming done to my removable rear valence.
btw - Steering rack is from a e34 bmw.

It is great to see some progress in this thread.
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

DUDE! The car looks great! Looks a hell of a lot better than what I saw at the AVR show. I was the guy hiding behind my raked-out red 67 Beetle with the beer in my hand parked next to ya. That car's going to be bad ass! I'm actually just in the process of trying to sell my 67 right now to take on something like what you're doing although I'm way the hell up north for school right now so it's on the backburner til summer 2011. But a suby-powered late super is what I'm gonna be going for as well. I've got a line on a 75 vert (that won't be going anywhere for a LONG time) right now but don't think I wanna go vert. Anyways, I'm rambling now.
Keep up the good work my friend and lets see some more pictures as ya go.
Oh, that's an EJ20 right? I'm anxious to see how the body will fit over that suby lump. I've heard there's some serious fitment issues as far as the timing gear covers go. Wondering if moving the trans forward a bit would cure it without screwing up the CV geometry too severely.
Hey I noticed ya got a couple "notches" in your drip rails. Ya smoothing them out I take it?
Cheers!

Very nice, I was just up there in BC with my wife a couple of days ago. Pretty low, you going to do a skid plate in the rear?
