I haven't had much time to get that done yet with everything else going on. But, it will get done eventuality. I also just got a T3 shroud, fan and prefan. So I gotta get on that too

This is probably one of the slowest build threads in history, but at least I have some progress to report.
First of all, I think I have finished all the fitting work on the tins, so they will now be cleaned, prepped and painted.
Then I disassembled the entire engine again, and cleaned all the parts.
Then I have started what is hopefully the final assembly, and here is a shot of the internals just prior to closing the case: (and yes, I did turn the #4 rod around before I shut the case

I hope I have not forgotten any vital parts so tonight I closed the case, and I now have a shortblock:
shortblock.jpg
It all went very smoothly together, and it all spins freely. I guess all the trial mounting and careful measurements paid off
Next now is to mount the p/c and heads, and put some paint on the tins. Hopefully I will be able to get this in my car before the winter

Last year I used the car until the snow came on November 19th, so I stiill have a few weeks

Not that much to report, but I originally had a plan to use dry sump oiling system, but since my tank did not easily fit in my inner fender as planned, I ended up deciding to use a conventional wet sump system this year then look at my tank options over the winter. Therefore I will be machining an o-ring seal groove in the schadek pump since it is quite a bit smaller than the opening in the case... I am still looking for a suitable o-ring as the one I located so far is too thick, as there is quite limited space inside the port:

Thank, I have lookaed at that thread before
Here is how my pump turned out after I used the lathe we have at work foran hour or so:

pump-2.jpg
I am not at all a qualified lathe operator, but this was quite fun, and I hope the end result gives me good oil pressure.
I also ground down the pump housing to a 0mm gap without gasket, so now it is just below 0.1mm with the gasket installed.
Next on the list now is to mount the pistons and cylinders, and then the heads.
Getting closer

Not much response here, but I see quite a few people read my updates, so I keep them coming, hoping that there might be some useful info for others here
I finally found some time to assemble the p/c's and the heads, so now I officially have a longblock:
longblock 1.jpg
So now I need to find a few small bits and pieces that goes on the case, like a oil pressure sender, before I can put this in my car. Hopefully I manage to test it a bit before snow comes
