'We' should have an online order link for these in this forum
as we in Europe don't have your typical local friendly autoparts or FLAPS store

Summit Racing has them

Cool! Thanks Bill.
Ray, what do you do with the weird looking bottom mounting plate on these? Can they be easily pushed out and replaced by a type 4 bushing or would it mean specialized tools to do so?
Tnx,
Walter

raygreenwood wrote:I guess it really depends on what you want to do with teh car. Airbags are lousey for handling. They are made for weight support and height control....and are good at that.....but are terrible at modulating shock frequencies off of a road at high speed and are very "marshmellow" like at handling.
Hmm, no.

Its not about control of rate....its about no longer having any solid vertical link at the end of the trailing arm when you get rid of the shock. The tail of the car will be all over the road. I have been ther when I broke a shock rod on my first 411. Unless you go to absolutely solid bushings on the trailing wishbones.....there will be perhaps an inch or so of sway at the end of the trailing arm. Its scary.
This is also why....for instance....the bushing on teh 411/412 at teh bottom of the shock is unique. It is designed to make teh centering of that shock more rigid to help quide teh trailing arm in the vertical axis.
Wally, I just get some steel bushing stock and cut slices to make of the difference in length. Then slip urethane bushing tube over the ends. It worked fine. Ray
