Best Suited "Off-Road" Jack

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

you could redo the stock vw jack to work better.I am planning on making it taller and using a larger foot on it.

I don't think he is joking.
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

Also used to swap tires in the sand.

That is a pretty darn good idea, most of those jacks are to short to do anything, with the tires on it boosts the height and work in the sand. Killer idea :!:

Nice way to mount it Shawn.

(Might want to clean it up a bit and get a pair of sidecutters for the zipties) ;)

Well, cough up a link, already!

Nice looking, TH. Simple and solid. Good idea on the padlock!

Thanks, Kraut! I've been thinking about doing that for years...now I've got to go to Lowes and find some wheels!

I have a hi-lift on my buggy. Just welded 2 1/2" bolts to the frame and it slides onto them. Put on a washer and nylock nut, no worries. The nut's are the same size as my wheel lugs, so I use the tire iron to remove it.

You can see it in this pic...
