ray, you are a great source, but visual learners like myself really stuggle with the long descriptions without pictures (okay, i'll admit it, i have the attention span of a... oh look, a bird!) could you please post some pics on occasion? please!!!

Also, quick question....what speakers fit in the 412?
If you find a set like this
you know the diameter of any speaker that fit...
But I don't know if you're as lucky as me to find something like this...
But like Ray says: there are plenty of ways to fit some speakers

hi,,vonkr,, i got the same front plate in my 412-73,, but i have modern stéréo radio with 2 knobs,, and on the modern radio, you can adjust the nuts on this 2 knobs shaft for to fitt in the 412 front plate ,,just geeve a loose to this nuts and slide the shaft for what you want ,,maxi. 1" each side albert
