Two things....If you came over here with that clock...we would drug you and rob you of it .
That appears to be the model that has the clock timer for the heater...correct? Man...those are insanely rare over here!

But...it is a late clock. It has a single indicator light in the upper 1:00 position for blikers instead of one each side at 9 and 3. It also Says....Quartz.

Every clock I have seen like that uses a fuel gauge that has to have the late model sender with the arm and the float on the end. Ray

and yes the clock does the heater timer control and what is more the clock keeps good time and the timer works, which is more than I can say about the heater at the moment

It is now begining to sound very much like the gauge is not correct for the sender. I wonder when it was changed .

I think you can guess my next question,

is it possible to retro fit the correct gauge into this clock unit as I would like to keep the functionality of it if at all possible. Failing that is there an after market universal sender and gauge I could substitute in place of the current set up, even if it means fitting a seperate guage somewhere?

shanw,, my first 411 was équip with this gadge clock for the option gas hether in the front trunk, plus you have on the lefgth the green knob + for the heather over the trans, ba4,, now i suspect the first guy change the gas tank ,, but the régistration from oct.72 that is normal for the 73 model,,albert

October 72 is a 73 model...but the quartz clock...as far as I know....did not come in the 412 until late 73. Its quite possible someone just swapped instruments.

If you look closely...the bezel is differnt on the clock assembly as compared to the speedometer.

Also...I am assuming yours is "wrong-hand drive ...since everything is backwards in location.
Coul you tell us what teh small control knob is for...to the right of the speedometer in the padded part of the dash? I have always know those two indentions were for extra instruments....but not one single 411/412 I have ever seen on this continent...uses either of them.Ray

The extra switch Ray, is for a set of Bosch foglights that I fitted and this seemed the ideal place to put the switch.
