well last night and to night have been productive i finaly got all the rear suspention back together and cleaned and unlocked the driveshaft cvs and repacked them and got thw wheels back on so today was turn her round

and get her back in the garage for phase 2 lol

so with the front and back wings removed it all looks suprisingly the same as the other side. all the same areas looks bad except the sill dosent look to bad at the mo

poked a screwdriver throught some parts lol so will have to see what happens when the grinders starts up in the next day or so

well started the grinder up today and what can i say its the same as the other side was hopeing to be better but hey ho what can you do lol

tonight i have been cutting out more and cleaning up the underside of the rear wing

dident expect to have to go this high top of the inner wing rused throught

then the nice cleaned underside

and the old repair thats been done (dont know weather to cut it out and check its all ok)

wow - you've done so much in such a short time. Makes my efforts look pathetic and I've been doing mine for 3 years! Keep going and I'll look forward to seeing it back on the road.

right the last few nights work been welding in some new steel


the rear inner quarter being plated in again had to make this from 2 old wings to get the profile

the rear quarter with the tray back in

a trial fit of the rear wing

the top of the inner wing gets new metal

and gets seamsealed and zincprimerd on the inside

had some good news today as found a good used rear a arm as mine are shot cheers volksfarmers

right lasts nightwork consited og cutting and cutting the rear chassis leg that had been welded up badly with some plates just pushed into the chassis then just underseald so quite bad realy


so enden up with this last night

Nice work brave man.....jeeeeez...was that poor car assembled by Lucas electronics? :lol:

right then guys have done much for the past week with work and a hangover from hell stoped me playing yesterday so had few hours on it tonight and done the rear chassis leg there is 3 layers/skins to this so took longer than thought

shock mount inner skin done

and outer skin finished with sone of the chassis leg repaired

hi mate sleep whats that lol. I would like to think about 4 weeks more welding and filling then mot it and use it for a few weeks then im going to respay it

right then had a good weekend on the car dosent actualy look like i gone far as iver been doing the rear suspension mount

desided to cut the hole section out the car and make a new one

so went from this

then started to fabricate a new one

then got it welded back into the car

some new steel to go round the suspension mount to make up the inner arch

then moved on to replaceing the rear outer arch and reparing it again with old wings to get the profile

then it was time to cut the NOS wing i got as it was for a 411 and not a 412 and as it took 18 months to find i desided to graft the light section and bumper recess in from the original wing

well im the rear is nearly done as it seems like ive been doing the rear arck for ages next is the sill and then the front inner arch
