The thing was rustier than I remmebered, but you can still get the mounting pattern and all that you needed off it. If you need anything else, let me know.

Youse freaking tawkin' to me?
I got it (what's left of it) today. Give me a bit and I should be able to get what dimensions I need off of it. Do you want it back when I'm done?

give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.

do the later brakes bolt on to a 71, as in the calipers, rotors and such?
are the later brakes bigger/better?

so did the tetnus shots take? I might actually end up passing on my set of lift plates, but I am curious if you have any drawering to post up just yet? I hate to see the best thread in this forum die out so peacefully.

Here you go fusername. If you want a lift, you just have to adjust the dimensions.

Re: Bus beam mounting pattern
'71-'72 Front and rear brakes are different than the '73-'79 units. Not so much on the rear but the front stuff is a lot different. The rotors are thinner and the calipers are different as they use a smaller pad. I believe the spindles may be different as well but I can't remember. The rear brakes are an easy swap to the late stuff as I did this myself on my '71 Panel. I just don't remember what I had to change. I know the backing plates but I don't remember what else right now. I have forgotten some of the stuff I used to know about bays..
The front beam patterns are different. The pattern is smaller on splits and bays up to the '69 model year. So you can put an early bay front beam on a split or a split beam on an early bay. From the '70 model year and up the mounting pattern is the same. Here is a thread with a diagram

Re: Bus beam mounting pattern
spindles are different, easy to tell apart, M14 caliper bolts for the late style, M12 for the early. backingplate is different, i think only the bearings interchange.
