Re: VW Beetle "made in Poland"
He now has a adjustable beam for raising and lowering the front end...Some do this instead of using dropped spindles......I am not a fan of ajustable beams.
It's still in the Restoration Booth!

Re: VW Beetle "made in Poland"
Thanks. I have an adjustable beam. I didn't like the ride when it was set at its lowest; I needed special short shocks did not absorb shock and the turning radius was pathetic. I assume he cut out that center section where the leaves go into that "T" slot, rotated it then rewelded. That takes some serious geometry.

Re: VW Beetle "made in Poland"
Awesome photos! Looks like a happy VW family!
The Fiats must be hard to come by, at least in good condition. They rusted so bad!
Super smart idea with the Twingo top! Easy to come by.
Our schoolbus was like the one in your photo. No seatbelts and that flipping door very hard to close for a kid! But still have all my fingers and good memories!
And who won the football game?

In Poland winning Fiat 126 in good condition to be restored is not very difficult.
A game won by the kids;)

I remember they rusted as you washed them. All Italian cars back then. Some even rusted in the agency, on the sales floor!!ant_poland wrote:In Poland winning Fiat 126 in good condition to be restored is not very difficult.
Keep the photos of the Beetle coming!
