I will try some mockups to see what can be done with what I have.
The DG top piston ring is too high to shave the piston along with the valve notches.
If you have a staight edge, a picture like on the Go-Westy site with all pistons linked with the straight-edge on top (pictured head on centered) would be most informative along with depth mic measurements to the peak of the valve notches. I'm just saying

I don't believe we ever got the DF piston version in the USA.
Thanks for the pictures though.
I may just use the MV pistons, opening the valve notches along with the abscence of the head gaskets then put some pressure through the 48 dellortos
