I haven't seen the new issue yet either, but I'm told there is an article about my cookbook.

This seems like the appropriate thread to mention that I need Chump drivers too. We are in Spokane and we want people with some experience, like autocross. Road racing experience is why we are doing Chump, so we don't really even want folks with that.

Hey Fank and Yohan,
I went to the Rolex 24 @ Daytona yesterday to watch the race from ther infield. WOW! you guys better plan on some LONG, Wide-Open throttle stretches! We're going to get Killed on the straights running the Bugs there.. There is a serious amount of distance between the turns! Make Sure you're running a 3-1/2 quart Oil sump. We WILL need it.
Seeya There!

Hi Paul,

Yes, I know the long straights at Daytona well. We ran them with our IMSA Super Bug.

Daytona is not a VW Bug track, but those Nissans are going to know they were in a race with us before it's all over.

A question. Would not two 44IDF's give you better fuel economy than one single carb?

Hi Paul,

We'll try and remember to bring along our throttle linkage from my Dells in case something breaks.

We brought the car to the chassis dyno yesterday to get the carbs dialed-in. The motor exceeded our expectations, and it seems to run cooler! We then, took the car a steet over to 901 SHOP where Scott scaled and aligned it for us.
We still have a list of things to be done before PBIR. We've made some changes in the suspension, motor, trans, and lighting since the Sebring race. It should be a whole new car!
I wish we had the opportunity at some tracktime before the race, but it's not going to happen.

Hi Paul,

My guess is the duals give you a better mixture and the heads are running cooler.

Your single Weber setup must have been leaning out somewhat at high RPM.

More power and cooler temp is a win-win.
