any handling mods while doing mini resto

For road racing, autocrossing, or just taking that curve in style. Oh yea, and stopping!

I will second that! I actually did an IRS conversion to my 67' beetle with the body on, only took me like 10 hours. just get all the parts ahead of time and make sure you get the pivot installation jigs, makes the job simple. also I actually kept my stock torsion bars and spring plats form my swing axle. I just cut the spring plates down and drilled them for the bolts. adds a bit of time to the conversion but you already have the parts so free is always good. anyway if you have any questions about the conversion I would be happy to answer them.

:) I'll stay swig axle for the time being but will look to go IRS in the future I think! At the mo it would add a fair bit to the cost with gearbox, cv, axles ect but will keep it simmering ;)

whatever works. whats most important is that you have fun and end up with a car that does what you want it to do.

exactly! cant wait to get the car back and get tinkering! just finished my basic training on friday and off to phase two naval training monday so not much time for car stuff at the minute!

ya I know the feeling. I'm going to be getting married on the 21st so most of my time is being devoted to wedding stuff.
