Long time lurker, so about time to actually build an engine with added pressure..
Will be a fun experience for sure!

Still waiting on parts. Sent the longblock parts with boat because of the size and weigth.
Waiting for a confirmation on the camshaft, but are struggling to get a hold of Webcam. Will give them a call tonight.
Also been talking to Skinne regarding pushrods and turbo. Will order dual tapered pushrods from him, cut to length and assembled. And a rather large Precision turbo
On an other note, I broke som spider gears in my superdiff the other day, and I'm going to upgrade to a spool and some more bracing of the gearbox. Also I need to get my right AVO damper rebuilt, as it hit a bolt, and it lost compression inside.
I'll post some pics when the parts arrive

More parts are being shipped.
Just bought a set of VWSPeedshop SP1's and a trigger kit from the same shop.
Soon time to build the longblock

They are a really nice kit.
I'll use the outer, lower injectors I think.
ID1000 should do the trick

I'd recommend going bigger if you are planning on running e85 and making 350hp

Thanks for the tip Chip
Injector Dynamics own calculator says 100% DC at 7000 with 30psi of boost. Thats at 45psi ground pressure. I'll go down the single, or dual 044 pump route, so I could bump up the ground pressure to lets say 55psi. Then I'll be at 90% DC at the same rpm and boost.
Don't know the difference in price, but could go for ID1300. (or something like these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-ASPHALT-1400c ... 95&vxp=mtr)
I'll run E85 for sure as long as we have it at the pumps in Norway. Or stock pile whenever I go to Sweden...

I have ID1000s, and while they are great on gas, I maxed them out on e85. 100%DC at only 278whp going lean. That was with a Walbro 255 inline though. I e-mailed Injector Dynamics and tech support said aircooled turbo engines had a higher fuel requirement than your typical water cooler. I know there are people pushing them further with bigger and multiple pumps and such.I'll have to do the same for now. My next step will be a set of 160lb/hr. I finally have a pump that will keep up with the injectors, so we'll see how my new setup with the 1000's works for now.

Is that with or without a intercooler?
I might just go bigger on the injectors first time out. I'll start with one 044 pump, and could add another one if I need it.
Has anyone tried the "Asphalt" injectors I linked over here?
I know of some guys here in Norway running them on V8's and stuff, but I can't recall anyone using them on a AC-engine.

With a cooler. They'll stretch further with a bigger pump setup for sure.
The Asphalts sound nice. I think that five-o is a pretty reputable company. The warranty is nice too.

Great.
Theres a guy in Norway with a single 044 and ID1000's. I think he dynoed quite a bit more than 350hp.
I think I'll go with the Asphalt 1400cc. Should be plenty
Just bought an original 044 made in the Czech Republic.
212$ at the local car-parts store.
With the horrific exchange rate we have at the time between Norwegian kroners and USD, that's really cheap

Edit: It was 347hp and 487nm at the wheels.
Single 044 and ID1000's.
I'll get bigger injectors.
Hoping to get 200hp per liter at the wheels --> 417hp at the wheels.
