I got a great deal on some nice heads that had sadly been semi-heli cut, which destroys potential efficiency and makes for a knock prone engine. (although at the deck you are suggesting it should be back in the ~"safe" region for knock resistance)
I solved the "no squish" issue with these:
Including .050 deck chamber volume is 72ccs. (on a 2466)
Dome angle matches the "semi-hemi" cut.
Pretty common way for hipo HD motors to get decent squish.

Check the specs on your MSD BTM. The one I used to run maxed out at 15 deg retard if I remember correctly. So not quite enough to be safe when you're pushing mid 20psi boost numbers. Time to upgrade your timing control.

Thanks for the heads up. I will check it out.

I hate to suggest something I have not tried but the CB black box is currently $2 more and gives you real fully programmable ignition with a 5 BAR MAP sensor. Lock your existing 009 or whatever.
Nobody's complaining about those so they must be working, right?
If you want to go crank triggered/ COPs or CNP there are a few ways to get there for about that.
A MS2 set up to run just the ignition is not much more... Great datalogger interface too, probably worth it just for datalogging. Comes with free EFI capability.
