Put your dial indicator on the end of the pushrod (rockers removed) and measure your cam lift. Then you'll know the effective ratio of your rockers (will change with geometry changes). I'd measure all 4 lobes, and all 8 valves.

I'd love it if my 1.25 rockers gave me .566 lift , save me buying 1.4s

I'm with Carl on checking lobes for lift
Just make sure plenty of clearance @ full lift so nothing kisses while your revving the shizzer out of it
I run a cb 2288 cam ( k8ish )with 9.1-1 comp and 20psi boost , great profile around town and when you stomp on it whhhooooossssaa....
Go for it

I measured at the cam with a result of .382 on all four. I also used a caliper getting a net result of .383.

Quick question.
I mocked up the PR's and it's giving me .557, so I'm taking that with a .015 rocker shim which landed the "lash cap Sharpie trick" in the middle as per a video I saw in YouTube. The half lift was straight dead on. On Saturday a friend later revised my setup and modded it to .060 shim and the "lash cap Sharpie trick" was 40/60, stating that is where it's supposed to be. Another friend stated it's 40/60 on the "lash cap Sharpie trick". These two guys both have full race cars for yearrrrrrrrrrs.
Before their suggestions I was going to go 50/50 on the "lash cap Sharpie trick". Now I have doubts.
Anyone?
Thanks,

Hi to all,
Been a while since my last post.
Finally got the engine in the car. Hopefully take it out by next week while I'm still on vacation.

Finally installed the water/meth kit up front nice and clean. Planning to run higher boost with this kit.
Can't wait to be boosting...

Hi,
Yesterday I started the car for the first time to break-in the cam. Everything went great with the exception of an oil leak on the full flow fitting which I corrected today.
Here is a video:

Today a friend came down to help me out on misc. stuff on the engine. We ran the car for 10 mins. aprox. then it cut off. It started to bog and no power. I saw TS and the map reading was 92kpa when it used to read 65kpa.
Any ideas???

Hi,
The wideband was with the three dashes indicating it was leaaaannnn. No matter what I did, nada... I'll check all the line behind the shroud.
Thanks,

Last night I opened the ECU and tested the map sensor. Everything checked out. Definitely a vacuum leak. Today I will take off the manifolds to inspect the gaskets even though they are new.

Last night I dismantled the intakes and to my surprise the drivers side gasket was broken. I just broke-in the cam for 20 mins and the next day idled it for 10 mins. Upon inspection I noticed the manifold enters quite tight to the engine tin. Today I am going to modify the tin on that side to see if it helps.

Hi all,
Yesterday I assembled the intakes and vacuum lines, the issue is still there. I have to discard a leak in the system. I believe it could be a crank sensor issue. The battery went dead, l tried charging it with no success. I will buy a new one and hopefully its resolved.
