I was looking at mine last night and the drain is almost level with the middle of the sump. The rake of the car gives it some angle though.
I bet you'll be fine.

GS guy,
is there any how-to-do guide that describes how to combine an autostick pump with T1 pump in order to create a dual stage pump ?? Or if i could find some tips that can put me in the right direction...
I am using this 26mm pump (
https://www.vwheritage.com/111115107bk- ... m-vw-spare) which is interchangeable with T1...
