Recieved and Replied Mike! That header pipe is 1 3/4", the only size I had in stock. Very interested to see what it takes to spool this thing up. In other news, I finished one of the two braces to the carb and turbo. This one took a lot of grinding to get the fit right underneath the intake.

Traced intake and ground to fit

Tacked, checked for fitment then finish welded.

Didnt get many pics after this but I then added some tubing from the intake mount down to the heat riser blockoff and welded it up. Turned out pretty sturdy! Ill get it all painted up later. I am still trying to figure out this photo thing so bare with me.

Yes sir! I still have to order some things online when I get some spare cash. Mainly just some silicone couplers, but I also need a cone that will reduce the intake pipe from the compressor outlet down to a normal size. In the meantime I have to decide where I want to put my wastegate!

I havent hashed that out completely. As you can in the background of the last photo I made a custom 13" standoff for the old setup lol, so it wont be hidden or anything. i still have the old 3" stainless dump that I will work with. While I am thinking about it, what size are you guys using for oil feed? Most likely I will have to test a few different sizes because of no carbon seal .

I kind of like the wastegate to match the exhaust. Come out near each other.
I use a -3 oil feed with a 5/8" drain.

Happy Saturday all! Got some exciting progress done this morning. I lost the photos for making the wastegate pipe, but it was pretty straight forward. Cut weld grind repeat
I got it roughly fitted to the pipe then with some heat and impact persuasion, got a tighter fit in some of the trouble areas.

Next the hole was marked and drilled.

Bypass pipe welded and then sanded, because I was off my game with the welding  :D

Marked the flange outline on some plate steel

And this is where I am at now. The WG flange is tacked, all thats left is to finish weld the flange then smooth the whole pipe and prep for paint.

While I was out there I also noticed the ebay china vband didnt fit quite right with the pipe, who woulda thought? Spent some time with the grinder and hogged it out to make space for the small lip on the dumpipe. I did lose quite a bit of surface area but some copper seal on the edge should do the trick.

i got the intake "T" basically finished today (Ill post some pics tomorrow). All thats left is the silicone couplers. Where are you guys getting yours? I have noticed that the old couplers on the end castings are fraying on the INSIDE right where the casting touches it  All I can think is it is slowly cutting it from vibration. However the old setup was fairly sturdy so im not positive that it wasnt just a poor quality coupler.

I used semi truck radiator Hose on my last build. It held for 10 years with no problems.
