Thanks Nate. Since I have only been working on buggies stuff isn't always where it should be.
I spent most of my early days with cars prior to 1949 and the woven ground straps were common then and a common problem. I'm not sure but I think at least one car company still uses them unless they have changed in the last few years.
I figured it was one thing to check before one gets into tearing things apart
