Think I can get more main jet into it. I know when I've got too much as it won't cruise nicely round town.
1 bar to 1.5 is a big jump in power. Gotta be careful now with it.

Yeah you might grab a different bleed valve. I bought an $8 one from eBay and it took 30 turns to make a big difference!

Is that boost flutter noise on gear change an issue

Yes. That is from not having a BOV. With no BOV the back pressure slows the turbo down and makes it more difficult to regain boost pressure. Sounds cool though!

Ok, I have a question. When you hear Honda’s at the track make all that BOV noise. I guess that would mean that their lifting to shift. I usually use the clutch, but don’t lift at the track. In my n/a VW’s. Can I still do that with a turbo?

John, I don't play on the track anymore but "bang shifting" (no clutch use) (aka "rowing the boat") can be done in either of two basic ways: one is not to touch the clutch pedal, and keeping the loud pedal on the floor plus quickly push/pull the shifter properly and at the right time and two, you either lightly and quickly touch either the clutch pedal to lighten the load on the clutch or you slightly lift on the loud pedal to remove some of the load when jamming through the gears. A good short throw shifter is also important to success.
Anyway you do it successfully, it is risky, but when done right the smiles are big!

If your fast you could probably still do it without lifting. A rev limiter would help with that.....just in case you miss a shift.

I do have a BOV on 3 and 4 carb top. Maybe the 1 and 2 carb needs a BOV as well. It started when I upped the pressure

If it's after the turbo and before the butterfly one should be enough. Might need a bigger one. It could be not letting enough air out? Or maybe it's the nature of your style of BOV? Could you make something up you could put air pressure to, and listen to the noise it makes with the engine off? I made one that i clamp on to where the air filter goes. I used it to check for leaks in my system.

I could rig something up. I think the BOV is too small. Hot here today, motor getting hotter than I like for big boost.

Yeah i have that trouble here too. Makes me nervous.
This is the deal i made. I used a regulator that connects to that so i know how much air I'm putting to it.
