I must have had a little something under the jug that got dislodged when I swapped everything around.
Everything is bueno.
Looking at the jug more closely. I think I was delusional to think this could be fixed. This little fella would definitely have to become a pencil holder. A damn cool looking 1 at least.
Funny enough though, my neighbor tig welds dimes on dimes all day. He loves pizza and beer

That would have to be tig brazed, cast iron doesn't really like to be welded.
There is some nickel alloy rod that might be used as well, but the silicon bronze should work if you have the bits.
(smaller bit you could probably get away with)
It might even be usable if that works.
If not: super glue gel and silver paint, great potential cup holders.

Do you have a step at the head or head gaskets?
You have domed pistons?
The factory cylinder base gaskets are ~.006"-.008"
Head gaskets .035-.compressed.
Do not use them.
How did you get those numbers?
Get some play-doh or aluminum foil, wad it up into small balls , torgue the head doen and turn over, pop head off and measure.
Who made the pistons? They should not be almost 2mm down the hole.
Head ccs about right, are all 4 same?

Bore = 94mm, that is the size of the barrels
Stroke = factory crank 71 mm (counterweighted)
Head cc volume = I will look at this # again
Dished factory piston (AA) = I will look at this again
I will admit I just made up that .002 number
(don't have head gaskets)***is this where I would put the shim height?

Shim height could go for head gasket
if the pistons have valve reliefs, its a negative value for "dome"
Same for dish, would be ~-12-15cc for bus pistons, not sure what you have.
flattops w/no valve reliefs would be zero cc (euro 914 pistons)
US spec 914 pistons ~-6cc, ish. Don't guess.
Lacking a spec you need to measure it.(same for heads)
The play-doh or wad of foil method works well for direct measurements of actual deck and valve clearance and is far better than trying to calculate, is required anyway to confirm you calculated right...
Does require having the engine heads up and preferably torqued.
You don't need gasket goo on the block etc, just lube the crank and pistons a bit no rings required.
Never guess.

My method for CC measurements is to use water with a drop of soap to increase wetting. Then measure 100.0g of the water in a small jug and dribble into the chamber etc (with the usual plastic cover) until filled. Then measure the weight of the water remaining in the jug to work out how much is missing. 1g of water is 1cc. Handy if you don’t have a lab grade burette & stand. You probably already have a 0.1gr scale for weighing pistons/ rods etc.
The soap drop and water trick is probably ideal, ~no meniscus to interpret.
Food coloring, easy to forget, hard to see without it.
I had a 50cc syringe from my vet i used the last time i did it, measured 3x, got same result, moved on.

So I am going to use green rain x bug n tar remover as my liquid.
I read that it has less surface tension than water.
Plus it's green
I have a 50 cc syringe that I use and I fabbed a cylinder cover out of some plexiglass.
1 large hole and a second smaller hole off set from the first.
I had mentioned earlier that I need to re check my chamber volume numbers.
Honestly, I overlooked the piston volume on the AA website.
