I was merely finding out for my father Marc, who has confirmed if I'm not mistaken. Sorry for the confusion.

I talked to "MondoMan" today, and he wasn't sure if you had Marc down for an order...Marc had e-mailed you twice before, do you need him to do it again?

Mondoman aka marc is in the order. I also have an order for Jeremy who is also from Kenmore, WA. Is this the same order or a different order? Any ideas? I want to get this FAXED in so i can get my exhaust built. In this high mountians ti is getting warmer daily and I have a need for high alttitude high torque and low end push. As Marc has confirmed, we have a good offer at a great discount here. Let's get it on. K-mann

STF- "MondoMan" is Jeremy...."Marc" is Marc(my father).

Jeremy wants an 1-1/2" header/boxes and a "fatboy" muffler

Marc wants the 1-1/2" header/boxes and a "hide-away" muffler(substituted)

All of us are from Kenmore, WA.

Interesting to note in the midst of our group order from Kymco Motorsports the Fat Boy wins best performace product of the year. In the July 2003 edition of VW Trends the 2002 AVWI Aircooled VW Industry Awards are listed. It seems our friend Jeff Bancroft and his Fat Boy muffler has earned Best Performance Product Award. The Fat Boy won this award based on its "unparalleled quality and performance.. this proven exhaust ... is extremely efficient and produces impressive horsepower gains. " K-mann

Nothing yet, but like you I figure they've got a lot going on right now so I wasn't getting too anxious.

I agree. I will be calling Jeff on Thursday and will give an update and share all our disgust for what happened. Theft sucks. Especially among AC VW folks. K-mann

BtW What do you know about the T4/Vanogon T-1 dog house oil cooler shroud modification I am putting a 021-117-021B oil cooler in my 1915 and am checking with Gene Berg for the shroud mod kit.

Jeremy got his order today. The quality looks to be excellent, nice welds. We're a little confused on the price he paid for what he recieved...He got big-bore Thing header/heaterboxes and a Fatboy which was supposed to be $325 and paid ~$400 +s/h ($275 for the header and $119 for the muffler)

(all parts raw)
Joe Blow Price = $566 RoMTOC Group Price = $325 (Savings $241)

The tracking number given my order in Janet's email comes up invalid - guess I'll have to wait it out a few days (mine's coming to the same address as Jeremy's).

 Well, we're not all happy.
Jeremy and I received our systems last week - most of them, anyway...one contained NO heaterboxes (although they were charged for, as was enough shipping to cover them - although the label on the box said one pound) and one contained no hardware or gaskets and cost $69 more than was promised. I'm really underwhelmed with the whole experience, the headers don't even have merged collectors, which were specifically requested. I'll end up having to build my own system after all since I have no use for this one.

At no time was I ever given the impression that the group buy would be limited to Thing systems, and neither Jeremy nor I requested them - we both were looking for sedan systems from the beginning, and when I called Jeff and spoke to him in person that was made quite clear - but of course he's unavailable for comment now. This group buy was supposed to be open to other Kymco products as well...I'd like to know at what point in the process our orders turned into Thing systems.

At this point I'd just as soon return everything. Unfortunately the boys have already ceramic-coated Jeremy's system so he'll either have to resell it or butcher the apron on his Sedan to use it.

I thought the quality of the exhaust was great. But, my Thing exhaust system was supposed to cost $325. I was charged $419 That is an overcharge of $94. I also received no hardware or gaskets. This system was sold as COMPLETE including all ss hardware and copper gaskets. I sent an email to Janet at Kymco about this issue. No answer yet..

I am going to call her do try to resolve these issues. My tracking number did not work either. Mine came via UPS.

I checked with my credit card company and was told if she will not resolve the overcharge, then they will file a charge dispute on my behalf.

Too bad this deal did not go very smoothly. Jeff leaving Kymco in the middle of the deal caused major waves. K-mann

I talked to Janet on the phone this morning, she'll be sending out an RMA so I can return the heater-boxless system I received and said it would be OK to raid the hardware kit from it so that Jeremy's order will be complete. Jeff really screwed things up, when I spoke to him I made it quite clear that I wanted a merged-collector Sedan system with a hideaway muffler and it turns out that combination isn't even available. The cost Janet quoted for the sedan system without muffler would be out of my budget so I'm just backing out of the whole deal.
Jeremy and his folks'll have to fight their own battle about the $69 pricing discrepancy.
On the plus side, I was "settling" for 1½" to save time and work, at least if I make my own it can be 1-5/8".
