A friend ran them for years on an 1835 in his 55 oval. They were known to be soft castings. He never had a problem with them and his car ran great. There are much better options now.

I think it was 2005 he died. Crashed his super beetle street racing.

Built a swept 2180 with a set of $20 EEPCO 40x35.5 heads. I sent them for boring and porting, and they came back perfect. I’ve seen two sets of EEPCOs in my time, and the external finish is much cleaner than even new castings.
