Does Dennis do your cylinder head machine work including valve seats? I have a set of heads that I need seats installed in.

Do they have drags at the rock as well as a show? I hope to be up and running before then and may slip down that way for a change of scenery.

Drags at The Rock...you better believe it! That's one of the main attractions! Even the show cars can make a run down the strip. If you want to see what your Type IV can do in the 1/4 mile, this is your chance! Check out the attached link for more info. I'll be posting more details in the near future.

Speaking of The Rock show, just heard from the HOst motel.
She called and said that the rooms are already being filled up.
So you all that will have to travel, better go to the main show site and get the number to the hotel and make reservations.

Ok I sure will!
But..... You need to go to the Florida Bug Jam this year in NOvember.
That way you can meet all the folks at VWT, cause they all are coming over!

I am sure for the August show, we will be cruising up on the 11th.
Need to go ahead and grab a room for both the Aug 12th show and the Oct 21st show.
Hey Bill, are you going to the meet sunday?
I was thinking that we could meet up on I-75.
I will be heading straight there from South GA. Of course, you will be able to catch up with me!!!! I'll be in the Vanagon!!

1/4 mile? All the events up this way are 1/8 mile in the Great lakes point series. Dont know if i have enough gears and r's for a quarter but well give it a try. Do they allow overnight camping at the track the night before?

Bill I don't think the other SEVWC members will be going, they will most likly be ready for Florida Bug Jam.
I beileve You can camp right out of the gates in the Big grassy area next door. There is a NASCAR track right there and this is where all the motorhomes and such park. No power or anything though. I rember the folks at the Track saying that anybody that wanted to could camp there. I will double check though and post on the show flyer in a couple of weeks.

Just so you all know, the event held at the Rockingham Dragway is a PRIMO facility. It is the same 1/4 mile dragstrip you see folks like Don Garlits, Bob Glidden and John Force make those sub 6 second runs you see on TNN and ESPN. No small potatoe's here!
As far as the flyby, they just opened the Rockingham bypass on Hwy74 about a month or two ago. The speed limit is 65 or 70 through there and it's four lanes of divided highway.
