Scott, no hockey here. SE Ak is a very mild climate with Pacific influences. I`m closer to Seattle than to Anchorage. Just an island off the coast of BC. In fact I`m about 75 air miles from Prince Rupert BC. Does not get real cold or hot here as does interior Alaska. If more people knew bout it it would be crowded. The island is the third largest in the US only after the big island of Hawaii and Kodiak about 250 miles by 50 miles
