We have a place here in Birmingham called PULLAPART, you cant walk out of there with anything with a VIN number on it.

There was a car theft scheme a couple of years ago where a group of thieves were buying rebuildable cars, then using the VIN from the junk cars on identical cars that they stole, then selling the stolen cars as if they were the rebuilt ones, so I can see why that might be a good idea.
