Figured I sould note this here. You guys are just like me. Trying to save every type 4 you can. I commend that. Just be sure that you don't get to carried away too fast in collecting. You can easily aquire so many type 4's needing extensive parts replacement, that you can't actually totally finish any of them...because there are not enough parts. Be careful...its a disease.

LMAO!!
If I bring anymore cars home my HOA will poop a brick! They have already turned me into the county for having a "junk" (my camper thats striped) vehicle in the driveway. The inspector came by to check plates and I whipped out registration / titles/ Bills Of Sale and Tags for all my cars, he said, "screw em! I like VW's and you can have as many cars in your driveway you want as long as they have current tags. PLUS you can have one unregistered vehicle." Pretty cool huh?
My wife would divorce me if anymore came home.... I dont know what I would have done with the Wagon if it would have been drivable.

So what parts are still good on the wagon? I think the wagon I can get for parts is a '74. I probably need as much '73 front sheet metal as I can get, like a whole "front clip" and bumpers. This morning I hastily took off with the '73 on the trailer when I was late to work and forgot that the hood doesn't latch, so you can imagine what happened when I hit around 50mph...

I heard a thwuump, and I was like "Oh, f#@k me running!" Luckily I had some pieces of wire in the back of the truck.

The front end of the wagon is so rusted, it is like rubber, sorry,

But I might be able to salvage the hood latch section for you

Ah, I see, well the rear corners of the hood and the hinges are wasted now, so I need a whole new hood. I guess the only '73 specific piece I'll need is the "nose" panel with the correct cutouts for the bumper supports (for repairing prior accident damage if you remember...). Damn, I was saying before, "well, at least the hood is straight!". I guess I kind of jinxed myself...

I've got an extra hood and two front fenders (L/R), all in decent enough shape. Think they are for a 74' wagon, but not sure. Would let them go very reasonable, I'm not really out to make a buck here.
Did not get over to take pics of the two wagons/one fastback, will try to do this afternoon. Also, If I can remember, I'll take pics of the fenders/hood I have. I suffer from CRS (can't remember s**t)
edit: Also, F/R 74' bumpers extra, if someone needs.
