Find a set of used cylinders and NEW oversized pistons. Then have them honed by someone with a boring jig. A light honing ...by yourself is one thing. Honing to an oversize, or honing for a differnt set of pistons ...or honing for out of roundness...MUST be done on a torque plate equipped boring jig.
Bear this in mind, every piston lasts a requisite amount of time. If yours are straight but have ...60% of their life gone...and you will never know this,.... you may be doing this again in 1.5-2.0 years. Just get new pistons and have Rimco do the jugs. If its a 1.7...look for domes. If you cannot find anything but dished....have them trimmed to be flat tops or domes in a lathe...them adjust deck . Ray
