Janet could be a very fine person at heart, but I have had no positive personal experience with her. She has failed to return countless phone messages to me, my wife, and my bank-card representative in our effort to resolve this issue. It only takes a minute to pick up the phone and return a call - whatever personal trials & tribulations she's had to deal with, she should've been capable of fixing this problem given TWO YEARS to do so, dont'cha think?

I have been dealing with kymco for a long time I have ordered over 20 exhaust systems and countless other parts for my cars and are clients cars . Yes every now and then there is a fit or time factor mess up but for the most part they have always been great in fixing what ever has come my way. Its easy to blame janet for this thing group buy that went bad but the truth of the matter is Jeff B. is the true screw up of it. Why do you think he,s not there any more and has nothing to do with Kymco HE was a lier , cheat and down right full of B.S. He made him self out to be the great guy that would do anything for you and as soon as he was done talking to you and would hang up thats as fare as his help went. I know this for a fact , It happened to me every time I had to deal with him. I also now for a fact that the guy who makes Kymcos exhaut is the worst liar of all . He will promise the world and you get nothing. I have dealt with him direct and he is something else. so maybe its not all janets fault maybe you just can,t make everybody happy. Think about it. Thanks

NOT THAT IT MATTERS, BUT I WAS AT THE DESERT OVER LABOR DAY WEEKEND PARKED AT THE BLUE IN WITH MY 73 THING. WHEN I CAME OUT I SAW A GUY LOOKING UNDER MY CAR CHECKING MY EXHAUST. HE ASKED ME IF I LIKED IT AND HOW IT FIT. IT'S A HIDE AWAY UNIT, J TUBES, AND CERAMIC COATED. I SAID JUST FINE, FITS GOOD, NO PROBLEMS. HE ASKED WHERE I BOUGHT IT, AND I SAID, CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME BUT SOME PLACE IN NEWPORT BEACH. TURNS OUT, HE WAS THE OWNER KYMCO AND SAID THAT THEY DID HAVE FIT PROBLEMS AND WAS WORKING ON A RESOLUTION. HE SAID HE BOUGHT A THING TO HELP RESOLVE THE FIT ISSUE. SORRY TO HEAR OF ALL PROBLEMS YOU GUYS HAVE HAD. AND I THOUGHT HE WAS JUST CHECKIN OUT MY COOL 181. STILL WORKING ON SHRINKING A DIGITAL PHOTO TO PUT UNDER MY LOG IN, BUT FIND MYSELF FRUSTRATED AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS THAT END IN FAILURE. ANY ADVISE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS RICK

I never said the problems with the handling of the order were Janet's fault - but the simple fact is when it arrived incorrect & incomplete she promised me a refund, issued me a Return Merchandise Authorization and had UPS pick it up the next day. I'm still waiting for the refund - who else would you consider responsible if not Janet?
How do you excuse the fact that she has never returned a phone call from me or the bank-card company rep who was trying to resolve the issue?

I have to also say that Danny would do anything for anyone. He went out of his way numerous time for me when ever I ordered headers from him. I have bought 4 from him and have gotten 3 customers to buy from him as well. Just my opinion.

I try to go the aircooled.net first and have had good luck with CB and CIP also. I personally don't price shop that much, because I work in a retail business that gets killed my the .coms, and feel that for small stuff if you can people should use their local VW store, it's a little more $$, but it's better than waiting a week for a $1 part. Recently have ordered three times from wolfsburgwest.com and was more than impressed with the quickness and with all the small grommets, seals, gas tank stuff, and some electrical stuff they got it 100% right.
amen support the local distributors.....

I completely agree also. In fact Kymco has always been one of the best local shops around for the socal area. they have a reputation for the most polite and knowledgable counter guys around.
They have a huge local clientel that loves them.

Yes there are lots of 'Mail order terrorists" out there but Kymco would be one of the last places I would put on that list.

Marc you may not be the only problem she has to deal with. You may be one of thousands. So if she has intentions of fixing the problem, it may not be that easily resolved if your at the bottom of the list. When you own a business that has had problems in the past and you are the one trying to fix them, sometimes it is easier to avoid the problems until you are able to rectify them, instead of taking time away from work by explaining to every customer that calls. This can be very time consuming. People that call want their problem resolved and will stay on the phone until they get some response that they want to hear. All of this takes away from things you should be doing to earn money to stay in business and takes away from you actually working on resolving problems. Plus, when you dont promise anything to anyone (when it comes to problem resolving), you never let them down when you didnt come thru on time, which usually happens in situations like this.

Yes indeed, every time I've spoken with Janet (that's a good trick in itself, first she has to be in the office) I've stayed on the line - on my dime - until I got the answer I wanted, which was that she was going to take personal charge of resolving the problem. Every month, when the bank card statement arrived showing no credit applied, I would have to start the process over...and every time, I got the same song & dance ("Oh, I can't believe they haven't taken care of that, I'll see to it personally" ...funny how it's always "they" who dropped the ball).
If you'll take the time to read what the BBB says about KYMCO, you'll see that this is a long-standing pattern of behavior - not an isolated instance by any means. My bank card company assigned an investigator to the case, but Janet managed to evade every one of his calls and returned none - it only would've taken one to resolve the issue, and that would've taken far less of her precious time than she spent giving me lipservice with no results. I've been ripped off for $350 - if that happened to you would you be so willing to make excuses for her?

I really cant understand how ANYONE could support Kymcos position in this case. They took your $$, and they took the product back. He now has no product, and no refund. I can only think that those supporting Kymco's side here are involved with Kymco in some way.

I also know that Marc is not the only person BURNED BY KYMCO in this deal. There were other customers burned in this deal that are on the Thing list.

How can any of you support a business taking a customers $$ and providing NO PRODUCT in return??????????????? You might want to have the "fair" part of your brain examined.

For the record,,,,,Kymco has gone in the toilet since Jeff Kymla sold it. Jeff B was trying to keep it afloat and finally gave up it seems. Jeff B was a stand up guy that was always willing to help out his customers in my experience. He helped me out a lot. I cant imagine them being around much longer.

No matter who caused the problem on Kymco's end, be it Janet or Jeff, the current owner has a RESPONSIBILITY to make it right to the customer. Just because Jeff set up the deal doesnt exempt Janet from fixing the wrong. The way I understood it, they were partners in the business. The BUSINESS has wronged these customers, & the BUSINESS(whoever owns it makes no matter) has a RESPONSIBILITY to make it right.

And Im sorry......any way you slice it or dice it, a business taking $$ for a product, then taking the product BACK, and nothing happening from there is WRONG.........WAY WRONG!!!!!!!!!! I hope Kymcos train comes to town right after they refund Marc's coin.

Flame suit on!

Yeah, youve got credibility here.....one post and a new account, sounds like someone from Kymco(or someone related) is running interference campaign here. Crawl back in your hole!

I have nothing to do with kymco other than I have been a customer of theres for around 15 years. I know the original owner jeff k very well I new all the guys for years and I know Jeff B the stand up guy as you call him .What a joke . That guy would ,nt do nothing for no one if it wasn,t going to stroke his ego some way . HE was asked to leave for many reasons could,nt run the shop , lied to everyone about everything , ECT ECT. You think you know everything you don,t just like Jeff B you are the Master of all things vw. SO YOU THINK. GET A LIFE . You have over 11,000.00 postings and all you do is bitch and Wine . What other person has this much time to waste complaining ? Kymco has alot of very happy people out there who will use them anytime . Maybe no company can make you happy . Your just way to good . Your the master of all things vw .
