I noted the address in my personnal e-mail. I will drop it out tommorrow. An update....the system it was produced with...is the exif viewer. I found out that it is Fuji's digital camera software. So these are actually digital cameras shots....they are very nice. You simply open the file...and each section unfolds as a page of thumbnails. Double click on a file to bring it up to half page, open file and ...save as...no problem. But, you have to save each file one at a time. The Pentax camera software in my computer hosts each image. I'm sure most average digital camera software is compatable. The disc also has the viewer software in it...so you can print them. Ray

I didn't get a chane to mail teh disc yet. But I will on return. Man....the stuff in here is unbelievable. It has all of the option combinations for parts I have never even seen. There is a completely different gas heater system along with the normal system. They even have the model # for the taxi cab version! I can hardly wait to get this out the door. Its worth it to make a copy of the disc....then save all of the thimnails into files in your harddrive....and print them out. But its also nice just to keep them in the harddrive....so you can pop up a page and expand it as large as you want. The heater system was a 2 page foldout....droooool... Ray

Gold mine!

Wow sounds sweeet! Is the other heater the same style or is it like a bus heater, those tube thing? Do you see any info on the test port and options or computer setup stuff you had spoken about? Sounds like a little gold mine of info! Is there actually at some point drawings and process for the building of all the parts on the car? I mean do they spec out how to just assemble it or make it scratch? Crazy to think about what really goes into creating a car and the parts and process!!!!! bill
p.s Then you have to figure out the test procedures/equipment to fix it too!

This volume has absolutely no information...as in how to....at all. It is strictly a parts catalog. If you were building a 411/412....and needed to order every single part that ever went into it...EVERY part...every last nut bolt and bushing....this book has every part # of every assembly and sub-assembly....and an exploded drawing of how they look and where the parts go. Its the factory parts book. It was originally in a 3 ring binder. There are few parts in here that I have not seen ...except some of the non-US versions...and the various interior combos etc......and the actual shapes of sheet metal structural parts that can only be seen when you are literally destroying a car with a hack saw. This book is also for ordering replacement weld in body structure as well.
I have been experimenting with e-mailing whole folders of sections. They work pretty well...but take a while to download. The quality due to compression is only very slightly less. I may e-mail a couple out...as teasers...if anyone is interested. But rest assured...I will make sure that everyone gets a disc copy no problem...and of course no charge. Ray

What a great source of info for those of us in the refub process.

Ray, are you saying that you will mail a disc, or, email the entire file?

45kb at 565 pgs = 25mb,....that's a pretty dang big email. Either way, I'd like a copy. And what the heck, throw in the German Shepards, uh, I mean Eva Braun pics too.

When I get back, I will for sure mail the disc out. I'm just a little leary of mailing it from Manila. I have it saved in my computer in two ways. There are 12 seperate sections. They range from as small as 3 pages down in the paint file, to 179 pages that is body and interior. I have it saved both by seperate sections which I could e-mail to anyone as 12 seperate e-mails. In fact...I was thinking of doing group e-mails....say like 30 names for file 00, 30 names for file 01...etc. Or I have all 12 sub-files grouped into a single folder of 25 megs. Yes  i noticed my math error from the earlier post....25 megs...not 25kb. I was just too lazy to edit it. I think it would save you about 3 hours of work...if you let me e mail 12 seperate files....and then...later you can also have the disc too. If everyone sends their e-mail to me, I will build a list....and do like 2-3 e-mails a day with sections.

By the way, after digging through this whole file. It is not 100% complete. It is for the years it covers, but really it covers from 68 to august of 72. So it covers about 90% of the 73 model, but there were definate changes in the 73 and 74 that are not in this volume. But othrwise...its dang complete. I really noticed this in the tranny section. Though it has the lastest 71 and on 4 speed, and all of the 68-71 stuff, you will notice in the automatic section that the bell housing assembly in the picture is the 68-71 type 003...with the five bolt output flanges. A lot of those made it to this continent in type 3's...so they are common equipment, but dang few made it in type 4's . They had already upgraded on the 71's to the through bolted large flange version of the 003 auto....stilll...its all good. 8) Ray

Ray,

How about I give you FTP access to my server at home and you can upload the files there. From there I can post them on my regular server and shar them with everyone here. That way you don't have to clog up your email service and the rest will get a fast connection from which to download the pages.

Let me know what you think.

Tom
