Yesterday I went to this place a parking lot about 20 miles from my house. This guy has atleast 20 "old" Mini's and they all look either good or restored and all look drivable. He has a website and Im trying to find it, he said that he buys them at I think Sweeden or Switserland or something like that then brings them here and sells them. They dont have the curves of a bug but they are neet. He even had stationwagon ones that looked awesome even stock. I'll try to find the web address but it was something along the lines of Turky.com or Turystowing or something like that, I'll look for it. Danny..........

Ok, I found it turkys@turkys.com . Check these little rides out. He wants alittle much for them BUT they are in great shape. I have seen most of these in person just yesterday. The only thing I did'nt like about them is that most of them are righthand drive. Oh yeah the little truck the orange one, that is factory. Later! Danny........

I have a '63 Mk1 RHD mini myself. Have a friend witha Riley and another friend with a van. Fun cars that can be insanely fast (ie: outrun a Corvette). Before the BMW MINIs came out, most people have no idea what Minis were when I talked about mine. Now they're a common household name.

Some of the prices on that site is way overpriced IMO. Barnhill Minis and other curbers have alot more reasonable prices. There has been alot more Minis in the States since the past 5 years from these curbers (nothing against them) and since then they are very easy to aqcuire now and prices has been reduces overall unfortunately.

Yeah, I would kinda like to have one too. I thought those prices where kinda high too but also I did'nt really know what they go for. The only thing I dont like about them is that they are righthand drive but Im sure their's a good bit out there that are left hand. That little orange truck is just the cutest I got to see it up close and I love those stationwagons too. I would be happy with just a regular Mini though. Danny........

On that www.restowagenuk.com website I saw alot of bugs that I thought where awesome. Most are done in the style that mine is, in the readers rides section, I wonder how that fella gets the rearend of his bug to stay on. That is a great idea it's on that twotone green oval. Do you know how he did it and how he gets it to stay on? Lots of nice rides on there! Danny............

You talking about the propped open rear decklid/engine cover on the two toned bug :? If so, that's propped open using engine "stand offs" available from Bugpack etc, bolt onto the decklid hinges, you lose the decklid spring though. The rest of the rear end is held together with Dzus fastners I think, Email him!!!! his addy will be in the forums, thanks for popping by, as you probably could see, www.restowagenuk.com is really hardcore Resto-Cal all the way rather than Cal-Look or Old School - were a friendly bunch though so feel free to pop by!

Hope that helps

I picked up a little Fiat X-19 chassis car a couple weeks back. It will be running a 2332cc turbo/NOS motor. I hope to get working on it spring of 2005.
