Have you checked the VW dealer? The cost will prob. be one arm and a leg.

I am doing the same conversion myself.
But try Demello (DMS) for the cranks. They do these all the time.

In the UK a brand new VW wbx 2.1 crank was about 300 pounds..
Aircooled net do counterweighted wbx cranks and stojers too... IIRC

That is how we do it sometimes here to get stuff from the states without paying impor- dut- to skip the import taxes

So let me get this straight. All that has to be changed is the thrust bearing? so I guess you would use water boxer shims to set the end play?

Hello
You need to modify the type 1 case to fit the three piece WBX bearing
then use WBX/ type 2 shims

I am not a crank builder, I use a guy in Melbourne to manufacture or modify some of my components including crankshafts
