New to T4s.......lots of questions

A little info on the 2 door sedan. My Dad worked at the VW dealership in Little Rock, Arkansas in the 60's and 70's. He wanted to buy me a used 412 2 door as my first car but decided otherwise because he said it was way too fast for a 16 year old. They were available in the U.S. but are few and far between. I have a 1974 412 sales brochure and here is the quote from it. "Of course, some people like a little flair with their luxury. Which is why we make a Two-Door Sedan.* (* not available in California) It has just about everything the Four-Door Sedan has. Plus a peppy four-speed transmission." It also has all the specs on the back page showing the differences between the 2 door and the wagon and 4 door. Let me know if you want any specifics. As rare as they are, they seem to be easier to find than the 4 doors though.
