As a 28 year veteran of off the grid, Solar living, I am still a relay advocate. I engage 60 amp 24 vdc current using a $2 relay from radio shack run through 28 gauge wire that is 100 ft from the power source. It is a cool way to keep current out of the main wires. I put a relay system in all my lighting applications. Still there is no substitute for clean, tight electrical connections. K-mann
