Re: NEW plan - 1600 TURBO + oval + downunder
Bahahaha…
Well an update of sorts. We finished up at my church last Sunday. It was a really nice day and they organized this cake for us. I had to take a pic.
The Thursday before that we moved. Oh man. Two huge trucks. Near on 100F. These are some of the bits that went in the bin.
These VW bits went off to my friends farm for storage till we sell most of them.
The day after the move my youngest son and I (10yo) went back and finished up at the old house. Mowed all the lawns, vacuumed most of the house, took a car load of junk to the rubbish tip and cleaned out the rest of the garage. He alone swept out and vacuumed out the garage. He worked harder than men I know. Very impressed. His favourite bit was breaking things at the tip. So I bought him whatever horrible fast food lunch he wanted. Cheap payment really. Afterwards, my full to the brim garage looked like this...
Pretty impressive and all without any whining on his part of mine. On a 100F day. The next day I wrote my final sermon at my inlaws place because the aircon in our new place doesn't work and it was another 100+F day. Then church on Sunday, clean out the garage for the car and now we're on hols. What a whirlwind eh? Hopefully I'll get to do something on the car. soon. I think I've worked out my Accel Enrich issue from looking at old tunes. When I get back, I'm off for another week to play bass at a conference. Fun times!
Maybe I should get a job and earn some money, because a few days before we moved, we found out our investment property has termites! The good news is, apparently they're not as serious as the inspector thought. Heck of a way to start the new year. Trusting God to sort it out like he always does.

Oh, I carefully selected which son to take. Let's say the other one wouldn't have been so hard-working.

McDonalds 'McRib', which was in his own words, 'not that good'. Advertising on TV had him wanting it. He's learned now that Maccas is the rubbish we've been telling him for years.

We had the misfortune of trying Arby's once when we were in LA. Didn't make the same mistake again. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not tree-hugging vegan, but I like to be able to partially identify the meat I'm eating. But then I do like a guilty Quarter Pounder meal or Maccas breakfast from time to time.

Finally had a chance to watch this vid properly at my inlaws yesterday. Man, now I understand why I had constant issues with hesistation. I've put together a test tune with AE as he suggested. Just need a few minutes to try it out on the car.panel wrote: ↑Fri Dec 28, 2018 8:40 pmDid you watch this vid?

BTW, weather here has been crazy hot. 100F every third or fourth day and not much cooler in between. That wouldn't be so bad except, the house we've moved into has ducted aircon and... it's broken. Has been since the day we moved in three weeks ago. It's driving my wife nuts. The real estate agent is working to fix it and we've had a repair guy come out once. However, with so many Aircon systems being fried in electrical storms, us being away for 2 weeks on holidays and the usual delays, it's taking ages. And... most of the windows on the house only open 4 inches.
I won't even start on how long the technicians are making us wait for a proper internet connection. My poor wife stayed home all day Thursday and the jerks never even turned up.
Start my new job on tuesday.

I'll swap you a little cold for a little heat. Ok Mike?
P.s. meant to get the car out today to do some tuning but ended up putting old furniture out for collection, cutting down a nasty thorn bush and putting our new bbq together. Dinner tasted good though. We're trying not to cook inside with all the hot weather. Tomorrow is a public holiday, so hopefully I can get out the beast and sort my AE once and for all.
